Josef Friedrich was a Czech illustrator and painter who illustrated [[The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes]] and [[The Adventure of the Final Problem]] (''Dobrodružství detektiva Sherlocka Holmesa'', ''Ztracená stopa'') in 1906 and [[A Study in Scarlet]] (''Mstitel'') in 1907 in Prague.

Most of the illustrations are copies of [[Sidney Paget]] ones, but some are his own creations.

In 1906 and 1907, he did 100 illustrations for [[Arthur Conan Doyle]]'s fictions.
