Le Journal (7 august 1905)

Le Journal was a French daily newspaper published between 1892 and 1944 in Paris founded by journalist Fernand Xau (former manager of Buffalo Bill during the French tour of the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show). Le Journal was one of the biggest French daily of the pre-war (WWII) period with Le Petit Parisien, Le Matin and Le Petit Journal.

In 1905, the newspaper serialized 12 short stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle.
