Letter

June 27 /92

My dear Sir

I was very glad to get your card and your brother's note.

London is (as you may have already found out) a very good place to be out of on a Sunday. I hope that you will come out and lunch with us this next one. It is a step from your hotel to Victoria Station. You get a train there at 12.35 for Norwood Junction reaching it at 1.14. It is about ten minutes walk and you will find us awaiting you. We might have a drive after lunch and you could get back by the 5.41 in time for your Metropole dinner.

I hope you'll be able to manage it. Messrs Lippincott & Kimball did it the other day.

Yours very truly

A. Conan Doyle
