This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle on 18 january 1920 from Windlesham, Crowborough, to stage actor Ernest Percy.

Dear Mr Percy

I thought your performance was marvellous. You made me appreciate Shaw's genius as never before.

I fear I can't help at present with the syndicate. Too many expenses.

Yours sincerely
A Conan Doyle
