Letter

Dear Lord Middleton [1]

I thank you very much for your most kind and flattering suggestion. I need not say that I should be most proud to receive such an honour.

I own sufficient freehold land to comply with the condition mentioned.

With all thanks
Yours faithfully
A Conan Doyle.

  1. The correct name should be "Lord Midleton" (with only one "d").
