This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle in april 1930 to Mr. Carl A. Carleson, President of the Stockholms Spiritualistiska Förening (Stockholm Spiritualist Association).

Frederick Charles Hannen Swaffer (1 November 1879 - 16 January 1962) was an English journalist and drama critic.

Letter

Mr. Hannen Swaffer is one of the best known journalists in London. He was in the staff of Lord Northcliffe in the latters life time. Swaffer is an honest, truthful, clear headed man, and every word he says can be trusted. If he is satisfied that he is in touch with his old chief then one may take his word that it is so. I was present at some of the seances mentioned and can corroborate the account of them.
