15 Sept 19906

Dear Sir,

Please express to your Council my sincere thanks for the high honour they have done me in inviting me as their guest to the Annual Dinner of the Society.

I regret however that I am compelled to decline their kind invitation, as I am not accepting any public engagements at the present time. My future movements are very uncertain.

Your faithfully,

Arthur Conan Doyle
