Louis Eugène Bailly (30 may 1875 - 22 january 1958) was a French painter and illustrator. He was trained by Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant, as well as many other collaborators of L'Illustration. He illustrated many albums for the great publishers of the time, such as Mame, Delagrave, Hachette, Gauthier-Languereau or Fayard. He collaborated with L'Illustration in the years 1920-1930 illustrating tales and short stories. At the same time, he worked for The Graphic in London and was editor-in-chief for ABC Magazine. He founded the illustrator section of the Fédération des Artistes Mobilisés. He was also a collaborator of the Figaro Illustré, Le Rire, La Caricature, La Bayonnette, Je Sais Tout, Pierre Lafitte and others.

Between 1914 and 1918, he did 68 illustrations for Arthur Conan Doyle's fictions.
