Mr. Charrington's XI v. Army Corps

Surrey Times (24 june 1905, p. 7)

Sir A. Conan Doyle figured in a two-days' cricket match at Frensham, between Mr. Charrington's XI. and the Army Corps, which started on Thursday. In his first innings, the novelist did not distinguish himself, but in the second innings he put together the useful contribution of 34, and thus materially helped towards the two wickets' victory achieved by Mr. Charrington's XI. A. E. English, a well-known player, scored 48 for the winning side.
