Nigel Davenport (23 may 1928 - 25 october 2013) was a British actor who played Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1972 in episode Conan Doyle of the TV series The Edwardians.

He also played Lord Smithwick in 1988 in the movie Without a Clue with Michael Caine as Sherlock Holmes.
