Norwood I. v. Addiscombe I.

The Norwood News (21 july 1894, p. 7)

Norwood were unfortunate in their two matches with this club on Saturday, as the Swimming Club Sports and various other causes prevented several of their regular men from playing, so both elevens had to play short-handed. The first eleven at Addiscombe turned up three short whose places were kindly filled by substitutes, and by the careful batting of Dr. Conan Doyle, Norwood managed to make a very respectable draw. The second eleven at Norwood did not do so well being badly beaten. Score:—
