Norwood v. Epsom

The Norwood News (20 august 1892, p. 6)

Norwood v. Epsom (12 a side). — Played at Epsom on Saturday last and left drawn. Epsom had the strongest batting team they could get, with G. H. Longman, the old Cantab, Crawford (of Oxford), and Northey, top scorer for Eton last year. Whilst Norwood looked a very weak team on paper, thanks, however, to the patient defence of Doyle and the vigorous hitting of Lee (who put on 127 for the 4th wicket), Norwood was enabled to declare the innings closed at 248 for nine wickets, leaving Epsom about two hours to get the runs, with the following result.
