Norwood v. Willesden

The Sporting Life (4 july 1891, p. 3)

The Norwood club continued their cricket with this match on their beautiful ground at South Norwood yesterday, when they added another win to their list of victories gained during the present season. The visitors batted first on a splendid wicket, but could not fairly master the bowling, as they were all disposed of for 93, Wheatman taking six wickets for 39 and Ellis two for 1 run. Although the first two wickets fell quickly for Norwood, runs were soon put on, and Montezuma played an excellent Innings for 64, in which he hit seven 4's, whilst Elborough also batted well for 51, out of which number he hit eight 4's, the side running up up a total of 210, thus winning by 112 runs.
