Our Mutual Girl is a series of 52 silent movies written by Irvin S. Cobb (editor of the Saturday Evening Post), directed by John W. Noble and produced by Reliance Film Company and distributed by Mutual Film. Movies released from 19 january 1914 to february 1915.

The serial follows the adventure of a country girl who moves to New York City and is exposed to the "high life" of her wealthy aunt.

Arthur Conan Doyle appears as a cameo in movie No. 22 (15 june 1914) and movie No. 23 (22 june 1914).

Mrs. Knickerbocker meets Florence Reed, leading lady in the "Yellow Ticket." Detective Burns and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are consulted as regards the disappearance of Margaret, and next week she will reappear.
