I understand that Raphael Tuck and Sons is to be turned into a limited company. Among its directors are Dr. Conan Doyle and Mr. Alfred Parsons, so that literature and art will be well represented. Meanwhile I have received from Raphael Tuck by far the most beautiful edition of Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare that has probably ever appeared. The illustrations are admirable. Dr. Furnivall writes the introduction, in which he casually volunteers the information that Lamb's father and Browning's grandfather served at one time of their lives as valets.
