Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective 1,2,3 (DOS)

Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective is a series of 3 investigation video games developed and published by ICOM Simulations, Inc. between 1991 and 1993 and a collected volume with all 3 in 1993 for DOS. In 2012, a version for iPad & Windows was published by Zojoi, LLC.

The game is notable for being one of the earliest "multimedia" titles, having been released on a CD ROM and featuring rather long (though windowed) video sequences with live actors as introductions and cutscenes, which frequently occur when the heroes investigate suspects. The main actors are Peter Farley as Sherlock Holmes and Warren Green as Dr. Watson.

It was a case of interest. One, a senseless murder of circus animals. The other, a simple mugging of a man. But were the double deaths of lions and Lyons connected or merely coincidental?

The Pilfered Paintings
Achievements of an able, though obscure artist. Articles of cultural consequences. Now, the criminal appropriation of an unamed thief. Who would want to take the paintings? And why?

The Murdered Munitions Magnate
A scribbled message. A missing file. The butt of a cigarette discarded. Signatures of a black alley murder. What was the motive? Financial acquisition, political advantage, or vengeance for fidelity betrayed?

The Banker's Final Debt
It just doesn't add up. The man was hard-working. Unassuming. Quiet. Now, quite dead. There seems to be no surface motive for his murder. Yet someone wanted him silenced. Why?
