The Croxley Master is the 2nd episode of the British TV series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Written by John Hawkesworth and directed by Gilchrist Calder, released on 22 january 1967 on BBC, starring Michael Latimer as Philip Hardacre.
In the summer before his final year, Philip takes a job as a medical assistant in Dr Lichfield's surgery to pay his next year's fees. But a more lucrative opportunity comes his way when he is asked to take part in a prize fight against the champion of the neighbouring colliery town...
This is an adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle's short story : The Croxley Master (1899).
