United Services v. Hampshire Rovers is a cricket result published in The Sporting Life on 25 july 1898.

Result was a draw.

The Sporting Life (25 july 1898, p. 3)

This two days' match took place at the United Service (Officers') Ground, on Friday and Saturday, but play was greatly interrupted by rain on the opening day. The Rovers, however, had run up 289 for seven wickets when the game was suspended, Pilkington's 124, in which there were twenty-one 4's, being a good performance, in which he had given but one chance. Lieut. Sprot's three-figure total included fifteen 4's. The single innings of the teams singularly, within 1 run of each other, but the match was left drawn. Score:—
