PARIS, Tuesday.

[[Frank Heine]], who was charged with the forgery of the "secret treaty," which caused a stir recently, has been ordered by an Antwerp Court to pay £30 damages <ref>The fine was 1.000 Belgian francs so around £5, not £30. The [[Alleged Treaty Forger Sentenced|article]] from [[The Northern Whig]] had the correct conversion.</ref> to [[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]] on a charge of plagiarism.

While working for an Antwerp newspaper, [[Frank Heine|Heine]] wrote a serial story, which was declared to have been based on one of [[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]]'s own stories.

[[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle|Sir Arthur]] immediately took proceedings against [[Frank Heine|Heine]] and the newspaper. — Central News.
