Lady Conan Doyle presenting to Mr. J. Earlam, Runcorn, the cup which he won by beating Mr. C. M. Helyer, Stockton-on-Tees, in the Amateur Billiards Championship. Twenty years of age, Mr. Earlam is the youngest player to win the championship. He compiled the biggest breaks ever made in the competition.
