In the Sherlock Holmes stories
- Aloysius Garcia was of Spanish descent. He spoke perfect English, was pleasing in his manners, and a good-looking man (WIST 102).
- He invited John Scott Eccles to Wisteria Lodge to have an alibi (WIST 134) because he planned to kill Don Juan Murillo (WIST 715). However, he was killed before he could achieve his plan (WIST 214).
