- Inspector of Scotland Yard.
- Inspector Barton had charge of the St. Clair case. He visited the room where Neville St. Clair was supposed to have disappeared. He made a very careful examination of the premises, but without finding anything which threw any light upon the matter. He arrested Hugh Boone (TWIS 220).
