Branford Bryan Angell. The father of the baby administered the sacrament of baptism in the case of Branford Bryan, the infant boy of the Rev. C. C. and Mrs. Angell, of Dalston, Cumberland, the ceremony taking place on the 22nd ult., at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Dalston. Mr. T. H. Brockbank (Greensyke, Dalston), Captain I. H. Doyle (Umballa, India), and Mrs. Nelson Foley (Tascadi Gaiola, Naples) were the godparents. The many gifts included a silver border spoon and fork, from Mr. T. H. Brockbank. A silver war souvenir spoon from Mrs. Richardson. Silver napkin ring from Mrs. Robinson. Christening robe from Mrs. Bardsley. A christening cloak from Miss Hawkins; and other presents from Mrs. Doyle, Mrs. A. Conan Doyle, Miss Doyle, Mrs. Foley, Mr. E. W. Hornung, Miss Angell, Mr. H. F. Angell, Miss Little, Miss Foley, Mrs. Stable, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Brockbank, Mrs. Hawkins, Miss Moore, Miss Crump, etc., etc. The baby was born on the 2nd July.
