Certificates for the exhumation of the bodies of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his wife have been issued, a Home Office spokes-man said early to-day. The spokesman was unable to give a date for the exhumation, or say whether or not it had already been carried out.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, died on July 7, 1930, at the age of 71. His wife died on June 27, 1940.
