  • Francis Hay Moulton was an American prospector (NOBL 444), described as small, wiry, sunburned, with a sharp face and alert manner (NOBL 433).
  • Francis Hay Moulton was presumed dead, after being reported killed during an Apache Indian attack in the American West (NOBL 445) but in reality, he had been captured and held prisoner by the Apaches, escaped, and only later made his way back (NOBL 473).
