SIR A. CONAN DOYLE'S DISCLOSURES.

A remarkable statement was made last night by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the famous novelist, on the infamous policy adopted by Germany to ensure future man power.

He was speaking in the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, under the auspices of the Divorce Law Reform Union, and he demanded immediate legislation to convert conjugal separations of three years and up-wards into divorces.

"The question of future population," he said, "is one on which the balance of power thirty years hence and the safety of the country will descend. There is good evidence that Germany is going to the most monstrous lengths to strengthen her future position, and that the child born to the order of the State — where the parents are little more than strangers to each other — will be an element in this development."

"God forbid that we should follow Germany in such animal devices. The official stud farm will find no place in this country, but is this a time to allow a considerable section or our population to be sterilised?"
