In the Spring——!
Sir A. Conan Doyle, speaking at a recruiting meeting at Tunbridge Wells last night, said:—
"If we meet again in this room in a year's time it will be in a different world. We shall find ourselves in a world from which the curse of militarism has passed away.
"The British Empire will emerge in the sight of all men as a grand champion of freedom and liberty, enormously strengthened and invigorated by the great ordeal through which it will have passed.
"The country is doing well. When we send forth our great armies in the spring it will not be long before the foe is on the run. Victory is certain."
