Le Lapin des Baskerville (comics 2025)

From The Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia

Le Lapin des Baskerville(The Rabbit of the Baskervilles) is a French comics, written by Pierre Mortel and illustrated by Anaïs Dumas, published by Delcourt Éditions on 27 august 2025.

A bucolic corner of nature, a familiar menagerie... Here, everything seems to be pure luxury, peace, and tranquility, but that's without taking into account the presence of the terrifying Rabbit of the Baskerville, which haunts the plains at night. The menagerie, though familiar, is also quite unique: a rabbit convinced that it reigns supreme, a pair of snails and slugs with a penchant for mischief, a 500-kilogram chick unaware of its own strength (or weight), a family of "Weasewolves" (half weasel, half wolf) who believe they are the ultimate predators, and a naive platypus. All of which transforms this idyllic setting into an irresistibly and hilariously absurd tale.

The story is a parody, not adapted from Arthur Conan Doyle's novel : The Hound of the Baskervilles (1901).
