My dear Sir
Lecture went very well at Detroit. The more I see of the country however the more I realise that the depression has by no means passed away and that the number of people who can be counted upon in each town is limited. Now as Chicago is the very heart of the depression, it seems to me to be a little doubtful whether the second lecture would be good policy. That is my feeling but you are the best judge.
- Yours very truly
- A Conan Doyle.
