From The Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia

This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle in november 1928 from Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town to Mrs. McLaren.

Letter

I'll take six with me & Mr. Johnson has bought one.

Dear Mrs. McLaren

I fear the price is too high. We did not sell one last night tho' we tried.

I have left these with the Hall Porter as I have no means of carrying them about. If I can get a few at Jo'burg (we shall be at the Carlton) I would try and sell them.

Meanwhile cut your price as low as possible & send two dozen to the Psychic Bookshop, 2 Victoria Street, London SW. Send me the bill for books & postage.

I wish we could help you more.

A Conan Doyle

Tuesday.
