Letter to an Irish club declining invitation
From The Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia

This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle from Undershaw, Hindhead, Haslemere, to an Irish Club. Undated.
Letter
Dear Sir
I am sorry but I shall be in Scotland on that date.
I should be glad to join the Club but shall be a very poor attendant as my life is already too full.
- Yours very truly
- Arthur Conan Doyle.
It is a duty to do anything to make Irishmen pull together — if it is possible.
