Men as "Maids"

"More Efficient Than Girls," Says Lady Conan Doyle.
Are men superior to women as domestic servants?
Lady Conan Doyle, the wife of the distinguished author and spiritualist, is convinced that they are, and since her return from America her beautiful home at Crowborough has been staffed by amen in place of parlour-maids, housemaids and "'tweenies."
"The experiment is a decided success," Lady Doyle told The Daily Mirror yesterday. "I have proved that men are far more efficient than girls and far more conscientious.
"Of course, men need training, and the women who employ them must exercise patience while teaching them. They are very quick to learn, however, I think men should be given a chance in the training schools instead of many of the flighty girls who go there."
"I strongly advise other women to follow my example. I am sure they will be satisfied with the experiment."
