  • He was a dry-goods store owner in Market Square (VALL 3053), with a wife and three children, among them is one named Fred Morris (VALL 3053).
  • He was the weaker brother of the Order — a man with a conscience who is terrified of the Lodge's violence and who warns John McMurdo about the danger of a Pinkerton detective (VALL 3061).
