In the Sherlock Holmes stories
- Mr. Sandeford, of Lower Grove Road, Reading, owned one of the six Napoleon busts (bought from Harding Brothers) (SIXN 303).
- Sherlock Holmes wrote to him and he brought the bust to Baker Street, sold it to Sherlock Holmes for £10, and that bust contained the black pearl (SIXN 456).
