• Wife of Captain Peter Carey (BLAC 73).

• She was a haggard, grey-haired, gaunt and deep-lined face woman (BLAC 198).

• Peter Carey has been known to drive his Mrs. Carey and his daughter out of doors in the middle of the night, and flog them through the park until the whole village outside the gates was aroused by their screams (BLAC 73).
