In the Sherlock Holmes stories

• Mrs. Lexington was the housekeeper of Jonas Oldacre (NORW 287).

• She was a little, dark, silent person, with suspicious and sidelong eyes (NORW 288).

• Sherlock Holmes inferred she likely helped plant the fake bloody thumb-mark and generally abetted his scheme. He even urged Inspector Lestrade to arrest her (NORW 508).
