Pierre Nordon

Prosper Pierre Nordon (25 may 1927 - 17 july 2024) was a French scholar, critic, and doctor of letters, translator from English into French, and a maître de conférences at the Faculty of Letters in Nantes in 1964.

Nordon is best remembered as the author of the biography Sir Arthur Conan Doyle : l'homme et l'oeuvre (1964), later published in English as Conan Doyle: A Biography in 1967. He also wrote Tout ce que vous avez toujours voulu savoir sur Sherlock Holmes sans l'avoir jamais rencontré (Everything you always wanted to know about Sherlock Holmes without ever having met him) in 1994.

Pierre Nordon was an honorary member of The Arthur Coan Doyle Society (1989-2003).
