• The three Randalls (a father and two sons) were a Lewisham gang of burglars (ABBE 48).

• They did a job at Sydenham a fortnight before The Abbey Grange so-called burglary (ABBE 53).

• And they were arrested in New York the following morning so they couldn't be blamed (ABBE 459).
