Wilhelm Richard Wagner (22 may 1813 - 13 february 1883) was a German composer, theatre director, essayist, and conductor, best known for his operas : Rienzi (1842), Der Fliegende Holländer (1843), Tannhäuser (1845), Lohengrin (1850), Tristan und Isolde (1865), Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (1868), Der Ring des Nibelungen (1869), Parsifal (1882).
In the Sherlock Holmes stories
