Secrets of the Crystal

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle told a new story in the course of a debate on spiritualism at the Queen's Hall last night.
"Only last week,"
said Sir Arthur, "a woman was crystal-gazing in the Savoy Hotel, and I was surprised to find that I could see the same pictures. I called in the editor of the 'Morning Post,' and he, too, saw the visions and subsequently wrote stating: 'What I saw I can vouch for. What I saw I can vouch for. What its meaning is I do not pretend to explain.'"
