Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's View

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said to an "Express" representative yesterday:—
"I am very glad that the "Express" has drawn attention to the fresh outbreak of cattle-maiming. My own views on the subject are unchanged, but I think that if, with the co-operation of the police, £100 were offered, it might be a judicious way of bringing forward some witness who might possibly bring about a conviction.
"The circumstances are different now from what they were during the last outrages, and I am welching the results of the "Express" investigation with the greatest interest."
