The Case of Sherlock Holmes is a British documentary, 6th episode of season 7 of the TV series 40 Minutes, written by Brian Thompson and David Pearson, produced by BBC, presented by Tim Piggot-Smith, released on BBC2 on 10 december 1987. 70 minutes.

Tim Piggot-Smith investigates the famous sleuth of 221b Baker Street. At 70 minutes, this was the longest ever '40 Minutes' episode.
