The notion of visiting in winter a country which is situated, approximately, within the same lines of latitude as Greenland and Siberia sounds mad enough, says a writer in The Graphic, in all conscience, and yet Norway, whence Sir Arthur Conan Doyle took the first pair of skis to the Continent, and where the art of ski-ing originated, is a veritable paradise for those who have a flair for following the sport au naturel, and who are fond also of good skating.
