The Return of Sherlock Holmes is a British short film newsreel released in may 1951 during the Festival of Britain and about the Sherlock Holmes Exhibition in London. Length: 2 minutes 33 sec.
The newsreel shows Denis Conan Doyle (the son of Arthur Conan Doyle) with Arthur Wontner (a Sherlock Holmes performer from 1930s) and some parts of the Sherlock Holmes Exhibition. Michael Weight [1], the stage/theatre designer who created the 221B Baker Street room for the Festival also appear disguised as Sherlock Holmes.
