The Sun, New-York is an american daily newspaper founded on 3 september 1833, as a morning newspaper, edited by Benjamin Day with the slogan "It Shines for All". The newspaper continued until 4 january 1950, when it merged with the New York World-Telegram to form a new paper called the New York World-Telegram and Sun.

Between 1891 and 1912, the newspaper published at least 10 short stories, 4 novels, 5 poems and 2 articles written by Arthur Conan Doyle.
