A little incident such as this helps to press home, I think, the reminders of Dr. Conan Doyle, G. Lacy Hillier, and others, that the training place of our soldiers is upon the sports ground. Most of our sports develop that "grit" which makes the "Great Britainer" such a tough opponent in every part of the world.
