In the Sherlock Holmes stories

  • Victor Trevor was the only friend Sherlock Holmes made during his two years at college (GLOR 19). In these days, Trevor's bull-terrier had bitten Sherlock Holmes to the ankle and Trevor visited Holmes several times (GLOR 22).
  • He was a hearty, full-blooded fellow, full of spirit and energy (GLOR 26).
  • His father was Trevor senior, a Norfolk squire (GLOR 27), and had a sister who died of diphtheria before the events of the story (GLOR 33).
  • He later summoned Sherlock Holmes back urgently when his father suffers a stroke after receiving the coded letter (GLOR 125).
