The Black Doctor, A Strange Tale is the 11th episode of the British TV series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Written by John Hawkesworth and directed by Mary Ridge, released on 2 april 1967 on BBC, starring Ray Chiarella as Dr. Manuel Lana.

Vicky's friend, Frances Norton, is dumbfounded when her beloved fiancée, Manuel Lana, calls of their engagement without notice. Shortly after, he is found dead in his surgery, and Inspector Lavender’s suspicions falls on Frances' brother, Arthur...

This is an adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle's short story : The Story of the Black Doctor (1898).
