Daulat Ras
From The Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia

Fictional character.
In the Sherlock Holmes stories
- Daulat Ras was an Indian student at the College of St. Luke's, diligent but weaker in Greek (3STU 221).
- He was a quiet, inscrutable fellow. He was well up in his work, though his Greek was his weak subject. He was steady and methodical (3STU 222).
- He visited Hilton Soames's room just after the proofs arrived and might have recognized them, and later he was seen pacing his room before the exam. But Sherlock Holmes ultimately ruled him out, and nothing happens to him — he simply sat the examination (3STU 296).
