• Dr. Thorneycroft Huxtable, M.A., Ph.D. was the founder and principal of the Priory School, near Mackleton (PRIO 54), who came to Baker Street to hire Sherlock Holmes to find the missing Lord Saltire (PRIO 23).

• He was the author of "Sidelights on Horace" (PRIO 23).
